Weekend weather: Scattered rain Saturday; dry, cooler Sunday
Our weekend weather will be fairly typical for June. Our best chance of rain will be on Saturday, then most areas will see their coolest weekend temps on Sunday.
Drought spreads across Minnesota; some shower chances ahead
The latest data shows drought conditions expanding. We have some showers west Thursday and statewide chances of spotty thunder late Friday into Saturday before cooling off again Sunday.
Air quality improves; dew points drop Wednesday with showers west
Scattered showers will linger in western and southwest Minnesota Wednesday with cooler and drier air east. The next chance of showers develops Friday and Saturday statewide.
Much of Minnesota moving rapidly toward drought
Minnesota is trending dry again. And if current and forecast trends continue, much of the state will likely move into drought conditions in the next few weeks.
Air quality alert remains through at least 6 p.m. Tuesday; shower possible
Smoke remains present in the skies Tuesday, creating air quality concerns. We’ll have more spotty showers and thunder possible Tuesday ahead of cooler, drier air moving in for Wednesday.
