Milder temps return this weekend, along with plenty of clouds. We have the updated weekend forecast, plus a look at the potential winter storm for Monday and Tuesday. Voting is now complete on the top five Minnesota weather events of 2022.
Cooler Friday, quiet weekend; big storm developing next week
Highs Friday will be near or slightly below normal in the teens and 20s across Minnesota with decreasing clouds. The weekend will be quiet, but early next week a big storm develops that could bring snow, rain and freezing precipitation.
Cooler Friday with milder air returning this weekend; uncertain storm track next week
We’ll have one cooler day Friday with temperatures near normal; primarily in the 20s south and teens in northern Minnesota. We’ll also see some sunshine once again. Milder air moves back into southern Minnesota Saturday.
Areas of light snow Thursday evening, cooler Friday; mainly dry this weekend
Parts of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see some snow or a wintry mix Thursday evening. We have details on that, plus a look at who could see some flakes on Saturday. A plowable snow is possible in some areas Monday and Tuesday.
Wintry mix Thursday and next week; mild air returns this weekend
Rain and snow showers will develop in southwestern Minnesota and move northeast across Minnesota Thursday. High will be mild, in the 30s southeast but colder northwest, in the low 20s.
A wintry mix of precipitation Thursday; colder Thursday night
Rain, snow and some freezing precipitation moves through Thursday. It will still be mild with highs in the 30s southeast to around 20 in the northwest. It’ll be colder Thursday night with lows in the teens and even subzero in northwest Minnesota.
Mild temps continue; wintry mix Thursday
Wednesday’s mild temperatures will continue for much of the next week. Areas of snow and a wintry mix likely on Thursday. A stronger, soggy storm is likely early next week.
Mild weather continues; wintry mix possible late Wednesday, Thursday
Wednesday will be mild with 30s nearly statewide. The next round of moisture will be a wintry mix of freezing drizzle, light rain and snow late Wednesday into Thursday evening.
