Milder, snow showers, windy Friday
Temperatures are already warmer statewide as south winds are blowing in milder air Friday. Snow is already falling Friday morning in northern Minnesota where several inches will fall. High winds will create blizzard conditions in northwest Minnesota. Farther south, little accumulation is expected but high winds will develop late in the day.
Weekend weather: 20s, 30s Saturday; 40s Sunday in southern Minnesota
We’ll have fairly quiet weekend weather, with our warmest temps on Sunday. Northern Minnesota could see a few hours of snow. We have your weekend forecast details.
Cold Thursday, big warmup Sunday; snow potential early next week
After a subzero start for most of the state Thursday, high temperatures will sit in the single digits. Expect snow showers Friday. Temps soar on Sunday, but significant snow may be on the horizon Monday and Tuesday.
Chilly Thursday; snow showers Friday
Much of Minnesota is below zero with wind chills in the 20s and 30s below zero in the north and teens below zero in the south. Temperatures are right around zero in the Twin Cities. We’ll see highs just in the single digits this afternoon.
Arctic Thursday, then milder Friday through this weekend
A quick shot of cold again Thursday. Southern Minnesota likely hits 40 degrees again Sunday.

We’re not done with snow in Minnesota. Forecast models hinting at significant snow potential next week.
Temps drop Wednesday, Thursday; big warmup Sunday
Another cold front brings falling temperatures and breezy conditions to Minnesota Wednesday. Temperatures fall slowly into the teens by evening in the south and well below zero in the north. Sunday will be mild. Significant snow may be on the horizon next week.
Breezy with falling temperatures Wednesday
A cold front has swept through most of the state early Wednesday and temperatures will hold steady or even drop through the day behind it. We’ll see temperatures in the Twin Cities drop from the mid-20s to around 20 by late afternoon then just below zero overnight. Northwestern Minnesota is already in the single digits and will be near 20 below tonight in some places.
