After a cool and rainy Sunday, we’re searching for warmer temps and a stretch of dry weather. High temperatures will rebound this week, but we’ll also see some periods of showers and thunderstorms. A planned upgrade, which will take the NWS radar in Chanhassen out of service, will start this Monday.
Our Sunday weather will be less than ideal. We’ll have cool temperatures, with periods of rain in many locations. Temperatures recover this coming week, but we’ll see several bouts of showers and thunderstorms. Starting on Monday, the weather radar at the NWS Twin Cities office will be down due to an equipment upgrade.

Our Sunday will feature cool temps and periods of rain. An isolated thunderstorm is also possible in some areas. Warmer temps and some additional bouts of rain and thunder are in the forecast this coming week. We might even touch 80!
Portions of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see showers at times this Saturday and Saturday evening. An isolated thunderstorm will also be possible. Sunday rain chances are highest in the southern half of Minnesota. Which Minnesota State Fair was cooler, 2019 or 2009?
Powerful Hurricane Dorian edges closer to the South Carolina coast
It’ll feel summery Thursday afternoon in southern and central Minnesota plus parts of western Wisconsin. Thunderstorm chances will continue in some areas. Hurricane Dorian’s track brings it closer to the South Carolina coast.
