The entire state is seeing dangerous cold Thursday, with some morning wind chills of minus 40 or below. Some schools, like in the Anoka-Hennepin district, are closed while others, including in Minneapolis and St. Paul, remain open.
Arctic blast: 40 hours of subzero wind chills ahead
It’s a relatively brief but intense arctic outbreak across Minnesota. Temperatures have plunged behind our latest arctic front. Wind chills will be in the subzero range across most of Minnesota from Wednesday evening until noon Friday.
