Mild overnight with upward temperature trend continuing; showers late week
We’ll have a mild overnight with skies clearing back out. Monday will be sunny with light winds and a warm day. Temperatures continue upward to a peak of 70s and 80s for some Wednesday. Showers develop by Thursday north, spreading south Friday potentially.
McCormick 4 RBIs as Astros beat Twins 5-1, avoid sweep
Chas McCormick had four RBIs, Hunter Brown combined on a two-hitter and the Houston Astros beat the Minnesota Twins 5-1 to salvage the series finale. The World Series champions are 4-6 after winning for just the second time in seven games.
T-wolves tussle as Gobert hits Anderson, out rest of game
Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert threw a punch at teammate Kyle Anderson during a timeout in the second quarter against New Orleans. The Timberwolves announced at halftime that Gobert would not play in the second half without giving a reason.

The Minnesota Wild have signed defenseman Brock Faber to a standard three-year, entry-level contract. The deal was finalized a day after the Minnesota Gophers lost in the NCAA championship game.
