A flood warning and power outage caused by an ice storm are making for an eventful weather week in the area.
Rain triggers rare flood warning for the Red River at Fargo-Moorhead
Nearly 2 inches of rain fell on frozen ground since Saturday, much like a spring event. But this late in the year it’s rare for the National Weather Service to issue a flood warning for Fargo-Moorhead.
It’s messy out there. An ice storm will make travel difficult to impossible across parts of the region, with likely power outages and tree damage.
Fargo authorities earlier Monday afternoon asked for the public’s help finding Cayne Liske who was last seen in South Fargo. Police said later Monday the boy had been located and is safe.
