Gopher football coaches recruiting hard

Wednesday is National Signing Day when many of the most-coveted high school players reveal where they plan to attend college. MPR News' Phil Picardi spoke with Howard Sinker, a digital sports editor for the Star Tribune, about recruiting for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team. The Olympics are a great party, but not a great investment

Russia has spent $50 billion on everything from construction to security, making these the most expensive Olympic games in history. Countries often justify the Olympic-sized price tag by saying the investment pays off in increased business and tourism. But that's not always true. It may look that way at first.

Photos: Seattle wins 1st Super Bowl title

Peyton Manning couldn't cap the greatest season any NFL quarterback ever had or secure his legacy as the best QB in history because his Denver Broncos came down with a case of the yips Sunday night. They lost to Seattle in the Super Bowl 43-8 by falling behind right from the start and never recovering.
