The Minnesota State Fair is still almost five months away — but on Memorial Day weekend, fair fans can get an early taste of the festivities at the fourth annual Kickoff to Summer at the Fair.

There’s truly something for everyone at the big State Fair stage this summer.

The Minnesota State Fair closed its auction Tuesday afternoon. Bidders bought artifacts from defunct carnival rides to old farm equipment to office chairs.

Fans of the Minnesota State Fair have a couple more days to claim a piece of memorabilia: hundreds of items are up for auction online.  

The Minnesota Agricultural Society Board of Managers — the 10-member panel that runs the Minnesota State Fair — on Sunday voted to keep ticket prices flat for the 2024 event.

Every year since the SkyGlider opened in 2001, people at the Minnesota State Fair have thrown items from it onto the roof of the Kemps Little Farm Hands exhibit.

Intense heat over the Labor Day weekend melted what had been a strong start to attendance at this year’s Minnesota State Fair.

This question is probably infrequently asked because the answer is, in part, a bit morbid. But the Minnesota State Fair is, at its heart, an agricultural exhibition and animals are a big part of that.
