A comfortable night, warmer Tuesday
Our mini cool spell continues with another comfortable night across Minnesota Monday night. Temperatures start to heat back up to above normal readings Tuesday and Wednesday with the next chance of rain, thunder coming Friday.

A little of Minnesota’s thirst was quenched over the weekend in some areas that really needed rainfall most. Rainfall amounts were more extreme for some places, however, especially in Iowa and Illinois.

A beautiful stretch of weather develops Monday with lots of sunshine and comfortable temperatures in the 70s statewide. It’ll be a little warmer Tuesday and Wednesday and dry until Friday or Saturday.

Sunshine returns Monday after some much needed weekend moisture. High temperatures will be mainly in the 70s statewide Monday. It’ll be well into the 80s for most of southern and western Minnesota Tuesday with sunny skies much of the week.

Tourists find safety after floods close Death Valley roads
The park near the California-Nevada state line weathered 1.46 inches of rain. That's about 75% of what the area typically gets in a year. About 500 visitors had been stuck inside the park.
