Periods of rain Wed.; NW Minn. sees a PM wintry mix, then heavy snow on Thursday
Most of Minnesota will see periods of rain today, but a wintry mix is possible in northwestern and west-central Minnesota. Heavy snow and strong winds will affect portions of northern Minnesota Thursday and Thursday night. Temperatures will drop sharply Thursday afternoon in some areas.

Periods of rain will turn to a wintry mix in northwestern Minnesota later today, then a chance to see some heavy snow overnight and Thursday. We have the updated snow forecast.
Waves of rain through Thursday; winter storm watch up north Thursday, Friday
Milder air returns Tuesday with gusty south -southeast winds at 10-20 mph. Afternoon showers develop from west to east across Minnesota. Expect periods of rain through Thursday. Rain turns to significant snow in northern Minnesota Thursday with lighter amounts south.
Warmer Tuesday; rain develops late; stormy through Friday
Tuesday will be warmer and windy with highs in the 50s and 40s. Showers develop west to east late in the day. It’ll be the first of several rounds of rain through Thursday before transitioning to snow in the north Thursday and south Friday.
Blood moon total lunar eclipse hits early Tuesday
Tuesday’s total lunar eclipse will be the last one visible in Minnesota until March 2025.
Midweek soaker? Waves of rain, snow forecast Tuesday into Friday
Expect partly cloudy skies, lighter winds and highs in the 30s and 40s on Monday. Showers develop Tuesday afternoon in western Minnesota and spread east overnight into Wednesday. We’ll have waves of rain into Thursday with snow developing in the northwest.
Seasonable Monday; stormy week develops
Monday will bring near normal temperatures mainly in the 40s south, 30s north with much lighter winds today and partly cloudy skies. A stormy pattern develops with showers Tuesday into Thursday turning to snow Friday.
