Minnesota’s recent warm trend continues Wednesday, then a pattern change brings more clouds and rain to the state, and slowly returns temperatures to seasonable levels.
Wednesday brings another day with highs more typical of July than late September, but clouds and rain start moving in from the west that point to cooler weather.

Temperatures hit 90 degrees again today in western Minnesota — in the last week of September.

A weak La Niña event this winter could signal a more rigorous winter for Minnesota. But it’s bucking the strong trend of milder winters overall caused by climate change.
