Minnesota stays dry and keeps a mix of sun and clouds through Thursday evening, then showers and storms move in and bring rain chances through the holiday weekend.
Wednesday brings a few more clouds across the state, but temperatures still make it above average for most of Minnesota.
Much of Minnesota has a chance to hit 80 degrees this week, which is late in the season to see that spring milestone. More showers and storms return late this week.
Cloud cover in southern Minnesota keep temperatures slightly below average, while warm, dry and sunny conditions in northern Minnesota raise the fire risk again.
The heavy weekend rain did not make it to northern Minnesota, where dry conditions elevate the fire risk the next few days.  Temperatures will slowly be on the rise this week, with the next chance for showers and storms moving in by Thursday evening.
Southern Minnesota is recovering from a soaking weekend rain, while northern parts of the state are so dry there is an elevated fire risk. Temperatures rise through the week, bringing some 80s by the end of the week.
As southern Minnesota starts drying out from record weekend rain, parts of northern Minnesota are parched enough to see a fire risk.
