The heaviest snow Saturday evening through Sunday is most likely from northeastern Iowa through southeastern Minnesota. The Twin Cities metro area might escape with just a few inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Wednesday's system looks like an efficient snow producer. A deep cold-air dome near the ground and overrunning moisture should produce dry fluffy snow that will pile up quickly.
