Fatal shooting at south Minneapolis unsheltered encampment set to be cleared by city in coming days
The city said it would move back a planned eviction of the camp from Dec. 15 to Dec. 19, but it’s unclear whether the fatal shooting could lead Minneapolis officials to change that plan.
Fargo authorities earlier Monday afternoon asked for the public’s help finding Cayne Liske who was last seen in South Fargo. Police said later Monday the boy had been located and is safe.
Judge vacates Marvin Haynes’ nearly 20-year-old murder conviction
A judge Monday vacated the murder conviction of a Minneapolis man serving life in prison for a 2004 killing. Marvin Haynes, 36, was sentenced for the murder of Harry “Randy” Sherer at Jerry’s Flower Shop in Minneapolis. Haynes was 16 at the time.
