DFL Gov. Dayton urges Republicans to compromise in session ahead

The Minnesota Legislature begins a new session today with Republicans now holding majorities in both the House and Senate. They'll need to work with DFL governor Mark Dayton. That was the dynamic in 2011 that led to a government shutdown.

The Jayhawks play sold-out show tonight at First Avenue

The Jayhawks are playing a sold out show tonight at First Avenue in Minneapolis. Jayhawks guitarist and lead singer Gary Louris says the title of this song "Leaving the Monsters Behind" was inspired by his recovery from an addiction to pain killers.
