Blizzard warning northwest; a shot of rush hour snow for Twin Cities
Winter is back with a vengeance across Minnesota. Blizzard warnings are up for the Red River Valley. Winter storm warnings cover much of northern Minnesota. The Twin Cities and most of southern Minnesota will get a quick shot of snow through Tuesday evening.
Wintry wallop Tuesday into Wednesday, then back to record warmth
Weather whiplash to an extreme is taking place across Minnesota. Temperatures will plummet tonight after many areas get fresh snow today. Then it’s back to record warmth this weekend.

After record high temperatures across much of the region on Monday, a winter storm was pummeling parts of northern Minnesota with heavy snow on Tuesday. Some schools and universities canceled classes.

Get ready for a weather roller coaster ride this week. A winter storm warning is up for areas around International Falls in northern Minnesota. A light coating of snow is likely in the Twin Cities area and most of southern Minnesota late Tuesday afternoon.
