Almost all of Minnesota will spend the entire day Friday with subzero temperatures, and the roads continue to have slick spots thanks to areas of light snow.
Thursday brings light snow and low temperatures that linger through the weekend. Weekend wind chills may exceed 50 below for portions of northern Minnesota.
The already arctic weather Minnesota turns even colder again Thursday with light snow for the southern half of the state.
Wednesday brings one more day of slightly milder temperatures before another extended period of below-zero weather return.  While this is the chilliest stretch of the winter, it is significantly warmer than what our winters used to bring. 
Similar to Tuesday, Wednesday brings another day of milder temperatures relative to the rest of the week.
Subzero? Yes. Records? Not even close.
Minnesota’s current subzero stream is impressive, but nowhere near a record.
