Storms sweep southern U.S., Midwest as death toll rises to 11
Severe storms that swept across southern portions of the U.S. and up into the Midwest were blamed Saturday in the deaths of at least 11 people, including two first responders, as high winds, tornadoes and unrelenting rain battered large swaths of the country.
Temps recover Sunday, and snow returns late in the day; mildest temps early next week
After a very cold Saturday, we’re ready for milder temps. Our temps recover by Sunday afternoon, and many of us will see some snow late in the day. The week ahead will start out mild, but temps take a big dip around midweek.

Wind chill advisories cover most of western and northern Minnesota Saturday morning, plus a portion of central Minnesota. Saturday is the coldest day this weekend, then temps rebound a bit on Sunday, and we’ll see some snow move in Sunday afternoon and evening.
