Cold snap: Teens Friday, subzero wind chills Saturday, 20s Sunday afternoon
Wind chills will remain in the single digits Friday in eastern Minnesota and subzero northwest. We’ll see snow showers develop Friday night with some light accumulation ahead of even colder air Saturday into Saturday night. Wind chills will stay subzero Saturday statewide.
Windy and colder with more light snow possible
Friday will be colder with northwest winds at 10-20 mph creating single digit wind chills. Highs will only be in the teens to low 20s. We’ll see another round of snow showers Friday night with a clipper bringing even colder air for the first half of the weekend.
Subzero wind chills on the way; snow showers linger
We have more scattered snow showers Thursday with light accumulations and higher winds from the northwest. Temperatures will be in the 20s with overnight lows dropping into the teens. Wind chill values will be subzero for much of the state.
More light snow and turning much colder
Scattered snow showers will persist Thursday as colder air rushes south. Temperatures will be in the 20s with winds picking up from the northwest at 10-20 mph. Wind chills will drop in the single digits and below zero Thursday night into early Friday.
Bitter cold headed for Minnesota; snow showers linger
Light snow showers and flurries continue with heavier snow showers along the North Shore into Friday. Wednesday will be in the 30s but still below normal before colder air arrives Thursday. Subzero wind chills are possible for many by Friday morning.
More snow showers; much colder Thursday and Friday
Occasional snow showers will continue, especially Wednesday night into Thursday again as colder air blasts across Minnesota into Friday and Saturday. Highs will be in the low 30s Wednesday but will drop into the teens Friday. Wind chills will be below zero by Thursday night nearly statewide.
