Some of us will see some snowflakes Friday evening. Temperatures will plummet Friday night as winds pick up. We have the chilly weekend forecast details, plus a recap of the top weather events of 2021.
Behind a cold front bringing in artic air, most of Minnesota will spend all of Saturday with temperatures below zero. Dangerously cold windchills will range from minus 20 to minus 50 during the weekend mornings.
Light snow Friday; arctic cold Friday night and through the weekend

Milder Thursday into Friday before a very cold start of 2022
Temperatures will recover a bit for Thursday before arctic air returns in time for the start of the New Year. No storms in the immediate outlook.
Wednesday is the coldest morning most of Minnesota has seen since February, and it will be topped by even colder weather to start the New Year.
Much of Minnesota is facing its coldest morning since last February, with dangerous wind chills making it feel like almost 40 below in some areas.
As as storm exits Minnesota, leaving more heavy snow in its wake, it sets the stage for the first of a couple arctic blasts over the next week.
