Winter storm brings wintry mix, heavy snow and strong winds
Our weekend winter storm will cause difficult or treacherous travel conditions across much of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Many areas will see heavy snow at times, and some of us will also see a wintry mix. Winds will ramp up Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. Check forecast updates and road conditions if you have to travel this weekend.
Areas of freezing drizzle are possible Thursday night and Friday. If you have weekend travel plans, you should know that parts of central and northern Minnesota, plus northwestern Wisconsin, will see heavy snow Saturday and Sunday.
