Southern Minnesota celebrates Earth Day Wednesday with some of the warmest weather so far this year. More seasonable and rainy weather returns for the rest of the week.
Minnesota will see a dramatic temperature range this Earth Day, from highs only in the 30s for some areas near Lake Superior to 70s and possibly 80s for southern Minnesota.
Warmer weather ahead plus a meteor shower overnight
Parts of Minnesota will have excellent viewing for the Lyrid meteor shower overnight. Temperatures the next couple days go from below average Tuesday to very warm on Wednesday.
Tuesday will bring cooler but otherwise much quieter weather across the state.  A few rain showers are possible later in the day.
A cold front Monday is bringing everything from rain and high winds to a fire risk, but overall this week is going to be much milder and more seasonable than last week.
