This school district erased all holiday names after dropping Columbus Day
Some institutions have dropped the name Columbus Day or switched to celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day. One New Jersey school district came up with a new solution: eliminate all holiday names.
The Hennepin County Attorney's office has filed murder and assault charges against a St. Paul man accused of driving his car into demonstrators in the Uptown area of Minneapolis, killing one and injuring several others. Man faces murder, assault charges in death of Winston Smith protester
Nicholas Kraus, 35, allegedly crashed a Jeep SUV into a car that was parked across the traffic lanes to protect people protesting the police killing of Winston Smith. The force of the collision pushed the car into Deona Erickson and others nearby. Erickson was killed.

Protesters continue barricading Lake Street to remember 2 killed
Midday Tuesday, Minneapolis police and public works crews pulled down makeshift barricades that demonstrators had set up to protect a memorial where Deona Erickson was killed Sunday night. People then put wooden pallets and a dumpster in the street. Police moved in hours later to detain some people and reopen Lake Street.
