Alise Willoughby has been selected for her fourth Olympics and will lead the U.S. squad in BMX racing at the Paris Games in just over a month. The U.S. will send five BMX riders — three women and two men.

Heavy rain brings flooding to the North Shore, closes trails and roads
Torrential rains flooded streets and basements across the Iron Range and washed out some local roads. More than 6 inches of rain swelled the Baptism River along Lake Superior's North Shore, flooding trails and destroying a bridge at Tettegouche State Park.
Mother of autistic kids Sheletta Brundidge raises awareness for interior door locks after death of Hopkins toddler
On Tuesday, in partnership with Amazon and Hopkins law enforcement, Brundidge handed out free locks at Hopkins City Hall. The locks have a numerical pad on them, requiring a code to unlock doors from the inside. They’re usually about $30-50 a piece.
New charges in anti-violence effort target Minneapolis gang
More alleged Minneapolis gang members are facing federal gun and drug charges as part of an ongoing crackdown. A grand jury has indicted 10 men allegedly connected to the 10z and 20z gang, which primarily operates south of downtown Minneapolis around Franklin and Chicago Avenues.
