Sunday liquor sales now legal in Minnesota
July 2 marked the first time Minnesota liquor retailers were legally able to sell alcohol on a Sunday in the state's history.

Marvin Gaye reluctantly gave in to the disco craze
Until he put "Got To Give It Up" out, Gaye had resisted recording a song to cash in on the disco craze of the 1970s. He was not a fan of the genre and the lyrics to this song are written as a parody of the typical disco dance floor story line.
It was a change from May, which broke a long string of warmer than normal months for Minnesota.
For some liquor stores, Sunday sales aren't exactly good news
This weekend, Minnesota liquor retailers will be allowed to sell alcohol on a Sunday for the first time in the state's history. But not all liquor stores are planning to take full advantage of the new law.
A new law takes effect July 1 requiring all Minnesota police officers to go through special training in conflict de-escalation, mental health response and implicit bias.
