Much cooler Monday; warming midweek
After a balmy weekend, much cooler weather has arrived for Monday. Then look for warming again midweek. Some rain and a little wet snow is likely from Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.
After some April-like weather on Sunday, typical March weather is on the way for Monday. Parts of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will also see some rain showers or drizzle. We take a look at the week ahead.
High water closes highways in southern Minnesota
On Sunday evening, MnDOT reported that an ice jam and rising water had forced the closure of State Highway 99 across the Minnesota River at St. Peter.
Sunday afternoon highs will reach the 60s in the Twin Cities metro area and most of southern Minnesota. Some spots may flirt with 70. Monday highs will be closer to normal for this time of year. Details on all that, plus an updated snow cover map.
