2 dead as Imelda strands drivers, floods homes in Texas
The slow-churning remnants of Tropical Storm Imelda flooded parts of Texas on Thursday, leaving at least two people dead and rescue crews with boats scrambling to reach stranded drivers and families trapped in their homes during a relentless downpour that drew comparisons to Hurricane Harvey two years ago.
A summery Thursday; fall colors are popping in northern Minnesota

A summery Tuesday, with shower and thunderstorm chances in some areas
Much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see Tuesday afternoon highs in the 80s, with dew point temperatures over 70. That’s unusually steamy weather for September. Some areas will see showers and thunderstorms at times. Temperatures retreat a bit on Wednesday, with more showers and thunderstorms.
Hot and muggy weather will be slow to leave; storms Tuesday and again Tuesday night
Hot, very muggy weather will be slow to become more comfortable this week. Expect thunderstorms across central Minnesota on Tuesday and then a larger area of stronger storms Tuesday night. More storms likely by about Friday.
