Tropical storm Dorian menaces Barbados, with Puerto Rico ahead
Dorian is currently forecast to grow into a lower-level Category 1 hurricane, meaning its sustained winds would narrowly top the 74-mph threshold for a hurricane.
Areas of rain will cross Minnesota on Monday. Scattered thunderstorms are possible mainly in the afternoon. Tuesday will be breezy and rather cool with scattered showers.
Rainy days and Mondays. Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have periods of rain Monday into Monday evening, with a few embedded thunderstorms.
We’ve had several consecutive dry days, but rain is in the forecast. Areas of showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop in western Minnesota and spread eastward during the afternoon and evening hours. Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see periods of rain with some embedded t-storms overnight Sunday night and on Monday.
This has been a nice stretch of weather for Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Rain chances in the metro area hold off until late Sunday, but western Minnesota could see some showers as early as Sunday morning.
Saturday is the best day of the weekend. Many of us may pick up another inch of rain Sunday night and Monday.
Weather winning streak continues into the weekend
We’ll see a lot of high temps in the 70s over the next few days, and rain chances hold off until late in the weekend. Our cooling bills are smaller this summer than last summer.
