Cold, breezy with scattered snow and rain showers Friday
Snow and rain showers will continue to rotate around a slow moving low across northern Minnesota. Temperatures will remain cold in the 30s and low 40s with blustery northwest winds at 10-20 mph. The chill persists into the weekend.
Heavy snow for northern Minnesota into Friday; rain, snow showers south
A wintry blast of heavy snow and strong winds will spread into northern Minnesota Thursday afternoon and linger into Friday. We have an update on snow totals plus the rain elsewhere in Minnesota that will transition to flakes by Friday.
Snow north, rain showers south; it's now Duluth's snowiest season ever
Rain, ice and snow continue to rotate around our slow moving storm system Thursday. Snow accumulations will be confined to the northern half of Minnesota with mainly rain showers south. More snow showers, mixed with rain, south will persist into Friday.

It’s awkward to talk about “winter” storms as we move deeper into spring, but winter best describes the type of weather that will occur across the Northland Thursday and Friday.
Waves of moisture into Friday; snow for northern Minnesota
The first of multiple rounds of precipitation is moving across the region. We’ll see somewhat of a midday break before more showers develop in southern Minnesota and fill in, moving north. A wintry mix will become mostly snow in northern Minnesota Thursday.
The first wave rolls through southwest Minnesota around and after midnight. Rain and embedded thunder likely arrive in the greater Twin Cities area from around 4 a.m.
