Southern Minnesota sees a few spotty showers and storms Wednesday. The next statewide storm system moves in Thursday night, bringing a risk for severe weather. Temperatures are on the rise, and hot weather returns by the weekend.
Northern Minnesota stays pleasant Wednesday with seasonable temperatures and mostly sunny skies, while the southern half of the state sees a few more clouds and occasional showers.
A few spotty showers and storms will linger across Minnesota through Tuesday evening, but the state stays mostly dry until a storm causes widespread wet weather on Friday.
Cooler temperatures linger through midweek, with more hot weather expected by the weekend. Spotty afternoon showers are likely the next couple days, then widespread rain returns Friday.
Temperatures stay below average on Monday, and a few afternoon showers and storms are likely.
Rain over the past week helped some parts of Minnesota in drought, while providing little relief to other portions of the state.  Upcoming rain accumulation chances stay limited until the end of the week.
Temperatures for the first week of summer stay very close to average and occasional showers and storms remain in the forecast.
Monday brings below average temperatures and dry skies across most of Minnesota.
Storms, some of which have occasionally been severe, will continue to move across southern Minnesota through the evening.  The rest of the week ahead remains active, with seasonable temperatures.
The 80s are returning this Sunday afternoon and dew points will creep upward, making it feel very summery. Some areas could see strong or severe thunderstorms, especially late Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. We have details about thunderstorm chances and a look at the week ahead.
