Deal reached to end Minneapolis teachers strike; classes expected to restart Tuesday
The tentative agreement includes higher pay for some of the lowest paid educators. School will resume Tuesday if the contract is ratified by union members this weekend.
Minneapolis families come together to ease strike burden
Striking educators and the district have not yet reached an agreement, as students have missed 11 days of school. While families in the district come together to form child care pods, create safe havens for teens, provide food for their neighbors and support teachers, they say they’re eager for the strike to end.

The crowd sang, chanted, and carried Ukrainian flags — and signs reading "Stop Putin, Stop War" and "No War in Ukraine" — as they marched across both the Stone Arch Bridge and Hennepin Avenue Bridge.
