Gov. Walz calls in National Guard as southern Minnesota hit with high water, evacuations
Flooding in southern Minnesota has prompted Gov. Tim Walz to declare a peacetime emergency, as some residents have had to leave their homes. The order late Saturday allows Walz to call up the Minnesota National Guard to help cities and counties affected by inundated infrastructure.

The Rev. Dennis Oglesby, who led Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Paul, died suddenly on June 16 at age 64. He is survived by his wife Greta, his children Meghann and Chase and two grandchildren.
