While some areas saw improvement in drought conditions, other areas worsened in the past week. The weekend could bring significant rainfall for some areas.
Thursday will again be hot and humid south with dew points gradually decreasing starting Thursday night. Rain looks increasingly likely late Saturday into Sunday.
Wednesday and Thursday will be steamy with highs in the low 90s south and dew points well into the 60s. More thunder is possible in northern Minnesota with a marginal risk of severe weather.
Highs will be in the 90s widespread across southern and western Minnesota Wednesday and Thursday. We’ll see thunderstorms possible again the northern half of the state.
The atmosphere across the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota is a bit more stable this week. Storms will tend to dissipate as they drift southward across Minnesota.
