As winters warm, Olympic snow becomes less certain
The 2026 Games in northern Italy may move forward, but the long-term future of the Winter Olympics will depend on how quickly the planet continues to warm.
Warmer-than-normal temperatures set to return
Temperatures warm back into the 20s for most Wednesday. Thursday will be the warmest day with highs near 40 degrees. We cool off just a bit Friday and Saturday before temperatures warm back up. 
Brief thaw Thursday; bigger thaw possible next week
A westerly Pacific air flow will bring milder temperatures to Minnesota.
Cool, bright Tuesday with much milder air on the way
We’ll have another cool but bright day Tuesday before temperatures warm Wednesday and Thursday. A couple of weak clipper systems will bring some light snow chances. 
A bit cooler Monday and Tuesday, but overall a milder week
Monday and Tuesday will be briefly cooler, but milder air prevails this week overall. We’ll see a few more light snow chances for portions of the state, too. 
Snow continues Sunday, temperatures warm up through the week
Light snow will continue Sunday across Minnesota, with highs reaching the 20s and 30s before a cold front brings a brief cooldown Monday.
Snow develops late Saturday into Sunday with milder temps ahead
We have some fresh snow on the way for the first time in 10 days. Temperatures will be milder in the days ahead as well with 30s possible by late week. 
Minor snow accumulations expected from weekend clipper
After a stretch of bitter cold, Minnesota is in for a brief snow event Saturday as a fast-moving clipper moves across the state, followed by a gradual warming trend.
