High pressure brings sunshine before more rain chances Sunday
The sunny skies are back Friday and Saturday as high pressure settles back in. A system will bring rain chances Sunday, which may be the start of a more active pattern. 
First freeze dates delayed by nearly a month over 5 decades
Fall temperatures are rising across the United States. As a result, the season’s first freeze is now arriving weeks later — in some places, even over a month later than it did in the past.
Drought quadruples in size across Minnesota in the past week
After eliminating drought in the state in mid-July, drought crept back into northern Minnesota last week and has expanded significantly in the past seven days. 
Clipper system increases clouds Thursday
Clouds increase Thursday ahead of a clipper system. We’ll see a few spotty evening showers mainly in eastern Minnesota. Temperatures will be a bit warmer Thursday and into the weekend. 
Chilly start, but sunshine and warmer temperatures ahead
After a cold start, we’ll see lots of sun with seasonable temperatures near normal Wednesday. Temperatures will trend upward Thursday and into the weekend. 
Bright and cool Tuesday with warmer air ahead
We have cool, bright conditions on tap for Tuesday that will lead to cold conditions Tuesday night with freezing temperatures possible north. Warmer air moves in late this week. 
October supermoon kicks off trio of lunar light shows
Monday night’s full moon will appear slightly larger and brighter during what’s known as a supermoon, the first of three expected this year.
