Monday brings relatively quiet weather with above average temperatures, mostly sunny skies and much less wind than Sunday. But, the state could see light snow before the day is over.
The early morning wintry mix left some icy spots in the metro area. It’ll be a windy Sunday, and wind advisories continue until late afternoon in many areas.
Some areas will see a wintry mix this Sunday morning, and all of Minnesota will have strong winds today. Temps will be warmer than normal, but winds will make it feel cooler than the air temp.

Comfortable weekend temps, but windy on Sunday
Our weekend temperatures will be reasonable (for early January), but many of us will have a bad-hair day on Sunday as the winds pick up. If you plan to play in the snow this weekend, there’s plenty of snow cover across most of Minnesota.
