Severe weather risk Thursday for much of Minnesota
A storm system will produce thunderstorm that could be severe Thursday. Large hail and damaging winds are possible.
One last hot, dry day before a cooler, stormy pattern takes hold
Wednesday will be the last mostly sunny, dry and hot day for a bit. Our chances for rain and thunder increase Wednesday night into Thursday and will be followed by much cooler weather. 
Hopeful signs for much needed Minnesota rainfall over the next 10 days
Our record heat and very dry air masses give way to rainfall chances through the next 10 days. It may not be enough to quench the whole state, but many areas could see at least a couple inches of rain through next week.

Rinse and repeat. Another hot, breezy day with critical fire conditions, especially in western Minnesota. We are on track for a shift toward cooler weather and needed rain by late week.

Mother’s Day is shaping up to be a scorcher, with summer-like heat surging across Minnesota. Temperatures are expected to climb into the 80s and 90s, potentially breaking long-standing records in several cities. Alongside the heat, low humidity and strong southerly winds will create critical fire weather conditions, prompting red flag warnings across most of the state.
