Winds diminish late Saturday night; warmer temperatures on Sunday
Winds will calm overnight, with low temperatures dropping into the 20s and 30s. Warmer temperatures are expected on Sunday, and quiet weather conditions will persist throughout the week.

Canadian high pressure will bring plenty of sunshine for Saturday, with cooler temperatures in the 30s and 40s, accompanied by northwest winds. Warmer temperatures are expected to return on Sunday.

A cold front moving across the state will bring a chance for rain and snow showers through Friday night with minimal accumulations expected. Looking ahead, the weekend will feature bright sunshine and high pressure but temperatures will remain cooler than average.
Cold front drops temperatures for the weekend
We’ll be warmer in southeastern Minnesota ahead of a cold front that will drop temperatures and create some rain and snow showers later Friday. The weekend looks dry, bright and cool. 
The April Fools’ Day snowstorm slammed the Northland, dumping over a month’s worth of heavy, wet snow on the region.
Dry, cool weather Thursday with lingering clouds
Lingering clouds will break up a bit late Thursday. Temperatures will be below normal, mostly in the 40s. Overall cooler-than-normal temperatures will persist into early next week.

Many school districts across central and northern Minnesota are starting classes late Thursday morning — or moving to online learning — to give crews more time to clear streets and highways, after a spring storm dropped more than a foot of snow.
