Duluth radar picks up enormous flock of ducks over Aitkin County
When a mysterious pattern appeared on their radar screens Wednesday morning, hovering over Aitkin County, the staff at the National Weather Service in Duluth puzzled over what it might be.

Red River rising to record levels for October
At the northwest Minnesota town of Oslo, the Red River has risen to major flood stage. Elsewhere on the river’s northward path, the Red and many of its tributaries are reaching moderate flood stage.
Cool, damp Tuesday; then several pleasant autumn days
Rain will fall Tuesday mainly on northern and central Minnesota. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy but dry. Look for sunshine on Thursday as warmer temperatures arrive for a few pleasant days.
