Feds arrest newest Feeding Our Future defendant at Twin Cities airport
The investigation continues into a massive fraud scheme in Minnesota that prosecutors say cost taxpayers hundreds of millions. A judge on Tuesday ordered that the latest suspect arrested in the Feeding Our Future investigation remain jailed after allegedly trying to flee the country.
Minnesota lawmakers unlikely to finish budget ahead of window for worker layoff notices
Legislative leaders said they worked through the weekend and hoped to complete remaining budget bills by the end of the week. In the meantime, layoff notices could land in the mailboxes of state employees in agencies where funding hasn’t been approved.
