Humidity eases up: dew points dropping, skies brightening
After a stretch of hot and sticky weather, relief is finally here for the weekend. Dew points and temperatures will drop, making it feel more comfortable across the region. Storms and lingering cloud cover will stay confined to our southeast, allowing for brighter skies and drier air to settle in.
Storms overnight; next wildfire smoke wave by Sunday?

Steamy and stormy setup: severe weather possible
Steamy heat continues to blanket the region, with heat indices topping 100 degrees possible. Later this evening and tonight, that same hot and humid air could fuel strong to severe thunderstorms.
Hot, humid Friday with more storms Friday night, Saturday morning
