Dew points will ramp up Friday afternoon, and high temperatures will reach the upper 80s. Parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin could see some strong to severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening.
Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible in northwestern Minnesota late Thursday afternoon. The thunderstorms are expected to spread southeastward Thursday evening.
Thursday’s storm risk looks spotty and iffy to me. We’ll see a few spotty thundershowers. A couple may reach severe limits but the setup is weak compared to last Friday’s derecho scenario.
