 Trump says the U.S. will stop bombing Yemen's Houthis after rebels say they'll stop targeting ships
President Donald Trump says he’s ordering a halt to nearly two months of U.S. airstrikes on Yemen’s Houthis. Trump said Tuesday that the Iran-backed rebels have indicated that “they don’t want to fight anymore” and have pledged to stop attacking ships along a vital maritime corridor.
Despite recent homicides, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey says city is becoming safer
The city’s crime data dashboard shows a decrease in crime in 2025 compared to the year-to-date numbers from last year. Frey said for the first time since 2020, the Minneapolis 911 call center is nearly fully staffed and is answering calls 10 percent more quickly.

Paul Huttner remembers living through the worst tornado outbreak in Minnesota history
The May 6, 1965, tornado outbreak was a rare Oklahoma-style weather event in Minnesota. Four of the six violent twisters were rated F4 on the Fujita scale with estimated winds at more than 200 mph. The devastating twisters killed 13 people and injured at least 500 more. MPR News Chief Meteorologist Paul Huttner was a preschooler at the time, but he remembers the day vividly.
