 Much of the eastern U.S. is bracing for a renewed round of harsh, soggy weather, while snowstorms were predicted in the Northeast. Heavy winds are bringing the threat of tornadoes to the Mississippi Valley. Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and Arkansas were under flood warnings.

A Valentine’s Day snowstorm made Minnesota lakes as beautiful as a love letter, but it also made roadways hazardous. The Minnesota State Patrol reported 385 crashes on statewide roads on Friday, including 25 with injuries.
