Clipper system increases clouds Thursday
Clouds increase Thursday ahead of a clipper system. We’ll see a few spotty evening showers mainly in eastern Minnesota. Temperatures will be a bit warmer Thursday and into the weekend. 
Chilly start, but sunshine and warmer temperatures ahead
After a cold start, we’ll see lots of sun with seasonable temperatures near normal Wednesday. Temperatures will trend upward Thursday and into the weekend. 
Bright and cool Tuesday with warmer air ahead
We have cool, bright conditions on tap for Tuesday that will lead to cold conditions Tuesday night with freezing temperatures possible north. Warmer air moves in late this week. 
EF5 tornado that killed 3 in North Dakota was the nation's first in 12 years
Meteorologists say a deadly tornado in North Dakota tornado this summer has been upgraded to an top-of-the-scale EF5, and was the first on American soil in 12 years. The June 20 twister killed three people and at its largest was over a mile wide as it touched down for just over 12 miles.
October supermoon kicks off trio of lunar light shows
Monday night’s full moon will appear slightly larger and brighter during what’s known as a supermoon, the first of three expected this year.
Finally feeling like October with much cooler, seasonable air in place
Temperatures are a good 15 to 25 degrees cooler than Sunday and as much as 30 degrees cooler than Saturday. We’ll see the cooler air stick around until later in the week when we warm up again.
