Most of Minnesota now drought-free; northwest still dry
Nearly all of Minnesota is now drought-free, according to the latest drought monitor, except for a few counties in the northwest. Also, the latest rainfall totals are in from Wednesday’s heavy rain.

Hot, stormy Wednesday brings flood risk, heavy rains to northern and central Minnesota
A heat advisory is in effect from noon to the evening for the Twin Cities metro and southern Minnesota. There is also a flood watch for northern and central parts of the state.
Minnesota is gearing up for a band of strong storms that are expected to move across the state throughout Wednesday and overnight. The National Weather Service says parts of the state are seeing flash flooding.
A potentially stormy Wednesday with more heat, humidity south
Scattered thunderstorms will move south and southeast near a slowly advancing cool front into Wednesday night. Some storms could be strong to severe with heavy rainfall.
