Comfort turns to clammy as heat and humidity return
A comfortable start to the week will give way to increasing humidity, with dew points climbing into the sticky 60s and 70s by midweek. Air quality is gradually improving, but alerts remain posted for parts of the region.
Improving air quality with increased cloud cover with wetter conditions
Conditions continue to improve across the state today as wildfire smoke gradually clears. However, an air quality alert remains in effect until noon on Monday. Cloud cover will increase statewide, with rain chances limited to the western half of the state.
Smoke begins to ease, but air quality alert remains
Air quality alerts remain in effect this weekend, even as smoke conditions begin to improve. Meanwhile, rain chances return Sunday for portions of the state.
Smoky skies persist, but weekend temperatures stay pleasant
The weekend will bring hazy sunshine along with comfortable temperatures and dew points, as wildfire smoke slowly begins to clear. Rain chances return by Sunday.
Warm and Wet: July by the Numbers
July started off hot and dry, but a shift in the pattern brought wetter-than-normal conditions by mid to late month, leaving us with a warm and wet end to the month overall.
Friday brings another comfortable day with smoky skies
We will continue to be comfortable with cooler temperatures and lower dew points, but wildfire smoke will linger into Saturday, reducing air quality. Next week warms up with thunder chances.
Trapped under high pressure: Air quality alert through Saturday
Under the influence of high pressure, we’ll enjoy cooler air and abundant sunshine to end the work week. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s with comfortable dew points in the 40s and 50s. Despite the pleasant weather, an air quality alert remains in effect through Saturday.
High pressure brings lots of sun, cooler air and smoke
Surface high pressure out of Canada has brought cooler, dry and sunny air but also smoke and poor air quality. We’ll see dry weather until early next week when isolated thunder chances return.
