Unfortunately, it does appear that we are experiencing a post-Thanksgiving bump here in Minnesota.  Whether that bump turns into a more significant surge remains to be seen, but the increase is on top of other stressors hospitals are facing, RSV and flu in particular.

Under the terms of his October plea deal, J. Alexander Kueng pleaded guilty to state charges of aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter with a proposed sentence of 3 1/2 years. That was the sentence handed down Friday.

Nearly a dozen eagles poisoned in Inver Grove Heights

The University of Minnesota’s Raptor Center is treating 10 eagles believed to been poisoned by euthanized animal carcasses at a landfill in Inver Grove Heights. An additional eagle died earlier in the week. Once the eagles are healthy, they will be released back into the wild. This is a morning MPR News update, hosted by John Wanamaker.
