Snow: Winter weather advisory for NW Minnesota
A winter weather advisory is posted for northwestern Minnesota into Friday. Winter storm warnings are up for most of North Dakota, and the season’s first snowflakes could fly in the Twin Cities by Saturday.
U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer, who had been briefly up for the speakership this week but withdrew amid some internal opposition, says he and colleagues are ready to press ahead. Man arrested after exchange of gunfire with police officer near Lake Harriet in Minneapolis
A 24-year-old man is in custody after allegedly opening fire on a Minneapolis Park Police officer in an incident that started late Tuesday night at Lake Harriet. The officer returned fire. No one was injured.
