Benson ends GOP race for governor
The only female candidate in a crowded field of Republicans competing to run against DFL Gov. Tim Walz suspended her campaign Friday. Sen. Michelle Benson, R-Ham Lake did not immediately back another candidate and said she would not seek reelection to the Senate.
